I spent over one year in nursery school and had a wonderful experience with teachers and friends, but today was different. I had a very painful experience today – a friend of mine bit on my hand just because I didn’t want to share my toys with her. It was paining so bad but then mumma put some medicine and said it will get healed soon and the pain will go away completely.
While we were in the playroom, one of my friends asked me to share my toys with her. Other days I do share my toys with my friends, since mumma told me we should always share our things with friends, but today I was really not in a mood to share my toys. I was building my dream house with the stacking toys when she asked me for the toys. I told her I would give her later but she was not ready to listen to me. She was pestering me for the toys, so I said I won’t give them to her.
She didn’t like it and got angry and she bit me on my hand. She bit my hand quite hard and it was paining severely. I never expected her to get so angry that she bit me. As I started crying, my teachers came running to see me. They saw the marks of the bite on my hand and they scolded my friend very hard and punished her. My teachers took me to another room and gave me a cold compress for some time. Initially the pain was too much, but gradually it went away. The marks were still there but the pain was tolerable.
My teachers wrote a report regarding the incident to hand over to my parents. They called mumma immediately and asked her to take me home. Both mumma and dadda came to take me from nursery school; they were shocked to see me cry, since I don’t cry at school anymore. Mumma hugged me tight and said everything would be fine. I felt much better seeing mumma and dadda took. My teachers told them everything about the incident in details and handed them the report.
We came back home and while putting medicine on the wound, mumma asked me what exactly had happened? I told her the entire incident and told her I was very upset. She said, at time things go wrong in our lives but we must be strong to face them. There will be misunderstandings between friends but we have to sort them out rather than breaking the friendship. She also said, the no doubt what my friend did was wrong, but I should have asked her to play along with me rather than saying no. Mumma said, we learn from our experiences and we should always remember the lessons life teaches us to become a strong human being.
I am feeling much better now. Hope I can go to school again tomorrow and enjoy with friends!
