The holiday season is over but I am still in a mood to celebrate! Why? I got a lot of gifts and presents from my friends, mumma, dadda and Santa during Christmas and New Year and now it’s time to have fun playing with them. I have got a lot of indoor games, so I decided to have fun playing with them this week. Mumma will also have some time to relax since she won’t have to take me out!

I wanted to play with all the gifts at a time, but mumma said not to mess up the home with all of them. She said, I can play with one game a day. So I have a plan here:

Monday: I will play with the play dough. My friend gave me during Christmas. Last month when I visited her place, we played with her play dough and we had a lot of fun. So she gave me one too! This is I’ll invite her to my place and we’ll have fun again.

Tuesday: I will play with my doll house. This was a gift from my dadda! I love him very much. He gives me all that I ask for. Last month we went to the shopping mall, I saw the doll house and asked dadda to buy me. He promised to buy me the doll house during Christmas and he kept his promise! I am so happy!

Wednesday: Time for some painting. Mumma bought me a large painting book and lots of colours. So I will make a beautiful painting for mumma. She’ll be very happy!

Thursday: Santa gifted me a Lego set this year. It says, My First Garden. I’ll build a beautiful garden and keep it in my room. Even my friends have received gifts from Santa and they are very excited. I will build my own garden and show them.

Friday: Jigsaw Puzzle! I will need mumma’s help to play this one. It seems somewhat difficult. I am sure mumma will teach me how to play this. I and mumma will have a great time playing together.

Saturday: Playdough again. I really like playing with play dough. I will make something very nice. I even have a rocking horse so I can play with it for some time as well.

Sunday: Sundays we go for outings but this week I’ll ask dadda to stay back home and play with me. I have so many gifts that I can’t finish playing with them in one week. I have many more games, so I think I will need to stay indoors for another week.

I will ask mumma to organize for a play date for me and my friends. I will call all my friends and have fun with them. Mumma always says playing together is a lot more fun than playing alone. So this time I will share all my toys with my friends and have a great time. So the planning is over and now it’s time to play!  So bye and have fun!

When I Didn’t Share Toys with My Nursery Friend

I spent over one year in nursery school and had a wonderful experience with teachers and friends, but today was different. I had a very painful experience today – a friend of mine bit on my hand just because I didn’t want to share my toys with her. It was paining so bad but then mumma put some medicine and said it will get healed soon and the pain will go away completely.
While we were in the playroom, one of my friends asked me to share my toys with her. Other days I do share my toys with my friends, since mumma told me we should always share our things with friends, but today I was really not in a mood to share my toys. I was building my dream house with the stacking toys when she asked me for the toys. I told her I would give her later but she was not ready to listen to me. She was pestering me for the toys, so I said I won’t give them to her.

She didn’t like it and got angry and she bit me on my hand. She bit my hand quite hard and it was paining severely. I never expected her to get so angry that she bit me. As I started crying, my teachers came running to see me. They saw the marks of the bite on my hand and they scolded my friend very hard and punished her. My teachers took me to another room and gave me a cold compress for some time. Initially the pain was too much, but gradually it went away. The marks were still there but the pain was tolerable.

My teachers wrote a report regarding the incident to hand over to my parents. They called mumma immediately and asked her to take me home. Both mumma and dadda came to take me from nursery school; they were shocked to see me cry, since I don’t cry at school anymore. Mumma hugged me tight and said everything would be fine. I felt much better seeing mumma and dadda took. My teachers told them everything about the incident in details and handed them the report.

We came back home and while putting medicine on the wound, mumma asked me what exactly had happened? I told her the entire incident and told her I was very upset. She said, at time things go wrong in our lives but we must be strong to face them. There will be misunderstandings between friends but we have to sort them out rather than breaking the friendship. She also said, the no doubt what my friend did was wrong, but I should have asked her to play along with me rather than saying no. Mumma said, we learn from our experiences and we should always remember the lessons life teaches us to become a strong human being.

I am feeling much better now. Hope I can go to school again tomorrow and enjoy with friends!
